About Us

Joe Lukeman is the broker/owner of Lukeman Group and Lukeman Property Management, which he started in 2005 after working as a part time real estate investor, appraiser and Realtor. He is also a partner and owner of property investment portfolios Big House Holdings, LLC and Lukeman Properties, LLC. Joe has over 15 years of sales and marketing experience in various industries to add to his real estate background.

The focus of his recent professional career has centered on small investment properties in downtown Kalamazoo — around Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo College. With friends and family asking to manage their properties along with a handful of small local investors, Joe has grown organically over the past 20 years to include a full brokerage, management and maintenance business servicing clients from all over the country with assets in Kalamazoo. He has represented properties for sale all over Michigan, and enjoys the creative process required to buy and sell investment properties.

Joe holds his Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University, and when he is out of the office, you can find him boating on Gull Lake or the ski slopes with his wife and three children.

Native to the Kalamazoo area, Madison graduated magna cum laude from Albion College receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Management. Prior to moving back to Southwest Michigan to pursue a career in Real Estate sales and management, Madison worked for several years in luxury resort management at Winter Park Resort in Colorado.

Her background in rental property management can be attributed to her parents and their small family businesses managing rental properties, rehab projects, flipping houses and low-income housing voucher management. Madison specializes in single-family and small, multi-unit sales and can offer in-depth knowledge of leasing, marketing and tenant management.

Outside of rental property management and sales, Madison is an avid snow skier, water skier, and lake-life enthusiast.

Amanda Cline is a Realtor with deep ties to the Vicksburg and Greater Kalamazoo communities. Her real estate journey began in 2014 as a leasing agent, where she honed her skills in property management before obtaining her professional license in 2016. Joining Lukeman Group in 2016 marked a significant milestone, allowing Amanda to expand her expertise in real estate transactions and market dynamics. Her hands-on experience includes successfully flipping a historic home and co-owning Welch Barn, offering valuable insights into real estate investment. With a commitment to providing expert guidance and support, Amanda is dedicated to helping clients achieve their real estate goals.

Lexi is originally from Schoolcraft, Michigan, and began her career in real estate at Lukeman Group, where she worked in the leasing office. She gained valuable experience assisting clients with their housing needs. Outside of work, Lexi enjoys playing golf and traveling every chance she gets. Known for her commitment to a professional yet personal approach, she ensures each client interaction is both meaningful and enjoyable.

Josh is a licensed REALTOR and Executive Property Manager with The Lukeman Group, proudly serving the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo areas. Josh became a real estate agent in 2019 and has enjoyed the knowledge and experience gained through this journey. In addition to helping manage rental properties, he continues to work with clients to buy and sell personal homes.

 With The Lukeman Group’s expansion into Battle Creek, He is able to offer reliable, local support whether you’re looking to grow your investment portfolio or just need help managing your rental property.

Kara Jacobs is a licensed REALTOR and Property Manager with Lukeman Group, bringing nearly a decade of experience in real estate and property management. Licensed since 2016 in Michigan, Illinois, and Iowa, Kara has worked in residential real estate, leasing, and property operations, helping clients and property owners navigate every stage of the process.

After joining Lukeman Group in December 2024 as the Resident and New Resident Manager, Kara supported leasing, office operations, and tenant relations. Today, she continues to assist property owners with portfolio management, leasing, maintenance coordination, city certifications, and resident communication while also serving as a licensed real estate agent in Michigan. Known for her responsive communication and detail-oriented approach, Kara is committed to providing exceptional service and building lasting relationships with both clients and residents.

Samantha Young is a Licensed REALTOR® and Property Manager who has been serving clients throughout Southwest Michigan since 2020. She began her real estate career as a REALTOR®, helping buyers and sellers navigate the market. 

As her career progressed, Samantha became a Property Manager, where she gained valuable hands-on experience overseeing rental properties, working closely with tenants, and managing the day-to-day operations of investment properties. Known for her reliability, transparency, and strong communication skills, Samantha serves as a trusted partner between property owners and tenants. Whether assisting first-time homebuyers, marketing properties for sale, or managing investment portfolios, Samantha is dedicated to providing exceptional service and personalized support every step of the way.

When she's not working in real estate, Samantha enjoys spending time on the golf course, and out on the lake with her family.

Over the past 15 years, Jason has served in multiple areas of the multi-family rental industry. Starting as a grounds crew technician, he grew his knowledge working as a make-ready technician, Maintenance technician, Maintenance Supervisor, and Facilities Manager before becoming a Property Manager in Michigan and Nebraska, now serving as a Maintenance Operations Coordinator. His background in multi-family maintenance and Management allows him the opportunity to offer insight and knowledge to the Maintenance staff. Overseeing maintenance crews from 2 technicians to 10 and properties from 140 units to as large as 1,000, and managing multiple sites at the same time. Jason has enjoyed his journey in Property Management. Outside of the office, you can find Jason playing golf, watching sports, and spending time with his family.

Real estate isn't just my career, it's been part of my life for over a decade. Since 2015, I've personally bought, sold, renovated, and managed investment properties, giving me firsthand experience that goes beyond the typical real estate transaction.
